Cheapest Dutch electrolyzer causing poverty and trash
Here are his ideas on how to build words most affordable electrolyzer:
1.stay away from noble materials, he states. Thereby he meant using Plastic for the electrolyzer stack design. I wonder if his wife also got a plastic ring for the wedding. For me plastic is a problem not a solution.
Anyway, they are betting on the AEM electrolysis because they do use Nickel as Catalyst. Downside is caustic lye which can cause injuries to the human skin.
We use PEM Electrolysis which uses drinkable deionized water and Noble Materials.
The value of Iridium and Platinum in the Volks-Electrolyzer 1 was less than 50 €. This is a fraction of the total cost which I am happy to take, and we are still cheaper than AEM electrolyzers.

Last Fall I bought Platinum bars at a gold store. When I came back after Christmas, I already won 1000 dollars on the noble metal. The cue was as long as the street because China locked they gold reserve the gold price rose a lot by night.
Additionally in times of inflation. The pioneers who bought the volks-electrolyzer 1 already saved 5.000 $ in comparison to today’s inflated prices aside from the value they created making 2 kg of hydrogen each week.
However, the manager from the Netherlands is very sympathetic to me because, as the title of the video says he believes in decentralization of energy and he want to build affordable electrolyzers. I believe that you should store your renewable for bad times, for Backup Power.

2. Statement: Producing in China: I don’t agree with him about producing in India and China to reduce cost for his clients eventually in the Netherlands because this thought isn’t innovative and long-lived.
Basically, that is what our parents did. It is called outsourcing. Well, what was nice for them, isn’t nice for us. The effect was all over Europe, factories are closing and lots of jobs are forever lost. Worst is that we lost the knowhow as well. That makes us dependent and vulnerable.
At the end he will be producing in India and China where workers have no rights to complain. Have you ever heard a Chinese person complaining?
Well, that is the long-term effect of violence. In 1989 You saw tanks with heavy armor and students at the Tiananmen Square protests in China. Basically, the actors who fought for freedom, where removed.
There is no freedom of speech in China. That makes people hard, non-complaining workers. Do you want to support that?
Good old rugged German products wrapped in local wood
A volks-electrolyzer Member wanted a consultancy because he was aiming for a German hydrogen system that got bankrupt. He was looking for a fuel were the heat of generating electricity can be used in the ventilation unit of his passive house.
As we permanently scan the hydrogen market and know their product prices, we know why the German company got bankrupt. It is because Chinese hydrogen systems entered the market at uncompetitive prices.

Actually, the price is so low that I believe these companies do not need to make any money with these products before they totally control the entire market.
This customer was a craftsman being a super cool and innovative guy. I am not a salesperson, and I am not trying to sell because we are at maximum capacity and we only want customers who really like the idea of owning and mastering an electrolyzer in a wooden cabinet.
The foundations for the hydrogen system were ready, and he thought this is the only company who produced such a cool hydrogen system.
Well, call me dump, but I told him about the Chinese invasion and gave him the contact to the salesman.
Do you know what happened after the weekend. He told me that the systems the offer do not have heat recovery, but they look good and deliver more stuff with it. So, he will not buy a volks-electrolyzer and I can kind of understand him.
Why, because often in Life I see that people value things they have expertise in. Like a dentist will clean his teeth with quality tools, the nutritionist will eat healthy and the personal trainer will look like Arnold Schwarzenegger
and the German engineer, that is what I am, wants quality local products.

And this where I do not know much about like Smart Phone I buy willingly from China, like many other things.
Now, don’t get me wrong I don’t want to talk badly about Chinese people. I just like local stuff and this stuff is mostly gone, which I am sad about. It is just a consequence of our free life. We do not work nightshift and over hours for a tiny skyscraper flat.
Betting on hydrogen due to economic regression
Another consultancy about hydrogen this week was this combined heat and power station manufacturer. They have port injected gas engines which they successfully run on hydrogen.
Now, they are doing marketing with hydrogen internal combustion engines and got a client which has left over hydrogen from semiconductor manufacturing.
For those of you who don’t know how chips are made, here my explanation in a nutshell.
In a reactor which can change temperature and atmosphere different gases are used to print materials on an atomic scale.

So in this smartphone I am holding in my hand there are many of the chips out of these reactors where nitrogen, argon and hydrogen (that’s is what this channel is all about) are used. After there use you have a crazy mixt of gases which is combustible.
This guys client had the idea to make electricity with this hydrogen.
He’s a very smart businessman and obviously really wants to sell his generator, so that he was researching a lot for hydrogen prices. They are hard to get and those he got were so expensive that the project will never be economically viable.

They needed a pump to compress the hydrogen for the port injection system from a hydrogen storage balloon from 1 bar to 6 bar.

We had two potential pumps in the hydrogen pricelist which hopefully helped him out.
But my personal opinion is that port injected HICE is only for conversion of existing engines and is not worth the time spent on a new product. Direct injected engines are better because his port injected engine has only 1/3 of the power with hydrogen than with gas or gasoline.
You simply cannot bring enough air and hydrogen into the cylinder whereas with direct injection you fill the combustion chamber fully with air and increase the hydrogen pressure. While the intake port is already closed
hence No backfire
hence Higher efficiency
because the pressure of hydrogen even moves the piston down before the ignition boosts the pressure and you run the on full potential of hydrogen and have even more power than with gasoline. THAT IS WHERE hydrogen is fun.
Check out my video about the direct injected diesel car.
